Illegal Borrowdale billboard case to continue on October 22

The trial of two company directors accused of erecting an illegal billboard in Borrowdale denigrating a property developing company will continue on October 22.

The duo Mark Strathen of Paragon Printers and Grant Russell of Fairclot Investments who are facing criminal nuisance charges are being represented by Gwinyai Mharapara and Tafara Danana.

The pair had their latest application of exception dismissed by the presiding magistrate Ms Sharon Rakafa.

In dismissing the application for exception Ms Rakafa said issues that were triable issues.

The matter has been on the roll since 2021 owing to several postponements caused by the accused persons.

State prosecutor Shambadzeni Fungura had been accusing the accused persons of using delaying tactics to derail the trial.
