TWO Harare men appeared in court on allegations of unlawful possession of firearms.

Pride Gengezha and Romalia Gozominyu appeared before magistrate, Dennis Mangosi, who remanded them in custody to today for bail application.

The two were not asked to plead.

Gengezha and Gozominyu are facing three separate counts.

Prosecutor Pardon Dziva said the two accused allegedly stole a safe containing cash and an SM pistol.

After their arrest, they led detectives to the recovery of the SM pistol.

They further led detectives to Magore Village, Chief Negomo, Chiweshe, leading to the recovery of a 12 gauge gun, serial number 17E-2247, which they had hidden in a cave.

On the third count, Gengezha and Gozominyu are said to have been arrested for a case of unlawful entry, with the same circumstances, as count one and two.

Detectives recovered 29×6.35mm rounds of ammunition from their room.
