I’M FIT TO PLAY AT AFCON, SAYS MUNETSI

MARSHALL Munetsi has dropped a bombshell and says he is FIT to play at the 2025 AFCON finals.

He, however, says hurdles are being put in his path to block him from playing at the tournament.

In an exclusive interview with H-Metro from his base in England, the Warriors vice-captain said he is upset that his efforts to represent his country in Morocco are being hampered by third parties.

He feels his club Wolves, and the Warriors team management, have created a crisis which could tarnish his image and give an impression that he doesn’t want to represent his country at the AFCON finals.

Munetsi said the injury he suffered recently has healed faster than expected and this explains why he is training at Wolves.

He said it was important for that to be made clear because he didn’t want to create an impression that he has turned his back on his country in the event he featured for Wolves during the AFCON tournament.

He said his efforts to reach out to the Warriors coach and team management to give him a chance to play in Morocco have been rebuffed.

He has also held meetings with his club where he has made it clear that he is not happy with the way the team framed his injury and suggested that he would be out of action for about six weeks.
