I’m no wildebeest

Wilson Tinotenda Waison

I am no wildebeest, which blindly follows a wounded path seeker.
I have a conscience,
to depict a blindfold’s long trail,
That leads the herd straight into the canines of a lion,
Famished with a bold zeal to munch and sip from the bone.
I will not die in silence.
Rather, I will bellow in disgust,
Shaming my meekness,
Yearning for a triumphal death,
which alerts other blind followers to be aware of the dilemma.
