CONTROVERSIAL award-winning rapper, Ti-Gonzi, is still claiming to be the king of Zim Hip Hop.
He says Leo Magozz, and himself, are the only Zim hip hop artists as they both have won NAMA awards.
Ti-Gonzi said this following the release of Leo Magozz’s song ‘Vanotaura Zvakawanda’ in which he is featured.
“It was an honour to have received a message from Leo Magozz, I had to give life to the song.
“If anyone ever questions Leo Magozz about hip hop, they should know that him and I are the only Zimbabwean hip hop artists to ever receive the NAMA awards since 1980 and beyond,” he said.
The title ownership of the king of hip hop started last year when Holy Ten called Ti-Gonzi a “crybaby” who can’t compose good music anymore.
Leo Magozz has been questioned by fans who say how can he be a king with only one hit ‘Fire Emoji remix.’
The success of his Fire Emoji remix helped him win two awards.
He released a song ‘Tsamba Kumafans,’ which was a flop.
Fans did not relate to the song.
