COMEDIAN Learnmore Jonasi continues to make waves in the United States while proudly flying the Zimbabwean flag.

The award-winning comic has gained a significant following for his unique style of comedy that blends international humour with stories from his upbringing in Zimbabwe.

Jonasi regularly references Zimbabwean culture, family life and the everyday experiences which shaped him.

Unlike many comedians, who completely adapt their content to foreign audiences, Jonasi has chosen to keep Zimbabwe at the centre of his storytelling.

In one of his recent comedy clips, Jonasi made it clear that his identity remains deeply rooted in Zimbabwe.

“I may be performing in the United States now, but Zimbabwe will always be home,” said Jonasi.

“Everything I talk about in my comedy comes from the life I lived growing up there.”

He added that representing Zimbabwe internationally is something he takes seriously as his profile continues to grow.

“I am proud to be Zimbabwean and I always want people here to know where I come from,” he said.

“Our stories, our struggles and even the funny things about our culture deserve to be heard on global stages.”

Jonasi’s comedy clips regularly circulate across social media platforms.

Many fans say seeing a Zimbabwean comedian performing internationally while the way he openly embraces his identity is inspiring. One Zimbabwean fan commented online, saying Jonasi is doing more than just telling jokes.

“Learnmore is representing us in a powerful way. When he mentions Zimbabwe on those big stages, it feels like the whole country is there with him,” the fan said.

Another supporter said the comedian’s stories about growing up in Zimbabwe makes his performances feel authentic.

“He talks about things we all understand family – life, school, everyday struggles. That’s why people connect with him,” the fan said.

Another fan praised the comedian for refusing to abandon his roots in pursuit of international success.

“Some people forget where they come from when they go overseas but Learnmore always reminds people that he is Zimbabwean and proud,” the fan said.

Entertainment observers say Jonasi’s approach reflects a growing trend of African creatives using global platforms to share authentic cultural experiences rather than hiding them.

By weaving Zimbabwean culture into his comedy, Jonasi has managed to create a distinctive voice in the competitive stand-up comedy scene.

As his popularity continues to grow in the United States, many Zimbabweans are closely following his journey and celebrating his achievements.

For fans back home, Jonasi’s success is more than a personal triumph, it is proof that Zimbabwean talent can shine internationally while still remaining proudly connected to its roots.

And for Learnmore Jonasi, that connection remains at the heart of every joke he tells.
