Immigration disowns rogue website

The Department of Immigration yesterday disowned a website which uses the domain www.zimbabwevisa.com.

In a statement, the department said some of its clients who required online visas prior to visiting Zimbabwe tendered their applications using this parallel website.

“The department is inundated with complaints from clients alleging to have tendered their online visa applications and were not served with the standard confirmation of receipt tracking number or determination of their applications were not submitted on the official website,” reads the statement.

The Department of Immigration urged all those wishing to obtain online visas to visit Zimbabwe to utilise the official website www.evisa.gov.zw. for any visa related services.

“The Department of Immigration wishes to reiterate that it has no relationship with www.zimbabwevisa.com, neither has it contracted its owners to process any visa on its behalf.”

The Department of Immigration urged all those wishing to obtain online visas to visit Zimbabwe to utilise the official website www.evisa.gov.zw. for any visa related services.

The Department of Immigration called on those who submitted their applications using the website www.zimbabwevisa.com on the presumption that it an official website to urgently report to the nearest Department of Immigration Offices or any of the Zimbabwe Embassies or Consulates, or call on hotline numbers 0712321210 and 0242-764075
