But as CAPS resume their campaign, Connor has warned his players not to get carried away with the three wins and advised them to guard against complacency.
“I have read reports that Hardbody want to get an early goal and this means that they are going to attack us.
“But we are apparently buoyed by the three wins and the rest, so everything is looking positive for us.
“I have told my players to perform because if they do not, then we lose.
“The danger after winning matches in a row is complacency and I know that it’s our job as coaches to guard against that,” said Connor.
Connor said CAPS United will stick to their game plan.
“We go into the game with our game plan. Hardbody are at home and its means they are going to attack us,” said Connor.
CAPS could miss centre-back Obert Moyo who is injured while striker Evans Gwekwerere is a doubtful starter.
However, Watosvorwa, as Hardbody are affectionately known by their fans, have vowed to spoil CAPS United’s fine run.
Yesterday, Hardbody coach Tavaka Gumbo promised CAPS United a hiding at Ascot.
“We started the season badly but for the now team is gelling and the players have picked form.
“I hope that we will win and we are not under any pressure because our fans know the direction we are taking with the team,” said Gumbo.
Meanwhile our Bulawayo Bureau reports that Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu is not worried at losing Erick Mudzingwa through suspension for the Bulawayo derby against Chicken Inn tomorrow.
Mudzingwa, who has been playing in central defence with Innocent Mapuranga, is sitting on three yellow cards.
“We are going to miss Mudzingwa as he has been playing well. The good news is that we have many defenders in our team and I believe whoever is going to come in his place is going to do the job.
“His absence infact presents an opportunity to the other guys to prove that they deserve to be in the Highlanders squad,” Kaindu said.
Meanwhile the PSL clubs are expected to meet in the capital today for a meeting where they are likely to review their sponsorship packages, among other issues.
