In the potter’s house

If a Christian fails to heed a word from God, the only alternative is to go back to God and ask for His forgiveness and mercy to start over again.
When a person repents and obeys God’s commands, he or she complies with the heartbeat of God.
Just like the days of Jeremiah, a pot can crack or even break while in the hands of the potter.
Similarly, human life is in the hands of God Almighty. My life experience informs my memory that it’s only the best clay in the potter’s hands that can produce a quality finished product.
Jeremiah chapter 18 tells us of how the potter can produce a best clay product after the clay has gone through several tough stages before it becomes a finished product.
In his classic sermon titled The Potter’s House, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa said that there are different kinds of clay that are found in different places of the world, but in the potter’s house only quality stocks of clay is stored therein.
He went on to say that it is not in the desire of the clay to be found in the potter’s house, but it is in the potter’s discretion. However, it should be known that not all clay will make it in the potter’s house.
Prophet Makandiwa bemoans that not everybody will be found working in the house of God, even if one is willing. It is God alone who decides whom He gives attention and approves of that person. My Christian life experiences and many others inform me that no one can work in the house of God unless God chooses them.
Romans 9:16 speaks of God qualifying those whom He chose to work for Him ,not by one’s own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on him. Lack of these primary foundations of understanding would lead to fights among workers in the house of God.
There are things in life which God can change and there are some which He cannot change. God consults the human kind’s freewill, if humanity does not allow God to change them, then God remains outside of the humanity’ will. Our father in the Lord, Prophet Makandiwa teaches us in United Family International Church (UFIC) that man is a product of prophecy and hence he should live by it.
In Genesis 1:26, God said “let us make man in our own image and after our own likeness; this shows us that before God created humanity, He gave a prophecy first of man’s existence and what he should be like. Humanity should never live a life outside God prophetic realm.
In my personal walk with the Lord, I hear a lot of people commenting on the prophetic and yet they are not prophets.
Before one comments on who should prophesy and how to prophesy, I propose that one has to be a prophet and should teach people by being an example himself.
I wonder why people are being offended by the prophetic yet they should be celebrating the gift.
I came to understand that it is the work of less informed people who talk about things they do not know.
Only young and immature people can talk about and against great names, it’s like a Grade Seven pupil talking about university concepts he or she does not know about.
How can people who are not prophetic talk about and against great names?
Have you not seen or heard people in your community praying and fasting for revival in their churches?
When God answers them by bringing this revival, the people next door begin to fight them because the revival is not happening in their church.
Just like what happened in the book of the Acts of the Apostles Chapter 12, the church prayed for Peter’s release, and when their prayer was answered and Peter came home, when he knocked at the door, they said it is his angel not him.
Here is a typical example of a church that is only good at praying, asking, but does not know how to receive from God.
With the understanding and revelations I got from Prophet Makandiwa, I urge contemporary believers in Christ not to follow the crowds, but to follow the cloud; it is not in the crowds, but in the cloud.
It was the duty of an Israelite to follow the cloud where Moses the servant of God was ministering.
If you know where it is happening you need go there, lest pride kills you.
One does not need to be the church secretary or even the church president for the cloud to come upon him; it is God’s discretion to endow with a gift on whom He wants to carry the fire of the revival for the season.
The church needs to pray and watch, watching where the fire is, you don’t need to start your own fire!
In today’s Christianity there is a lot of church management, some contemporary Christians are actually muzzling the gifts of the Holy Spirit, thus managing God Himself.
It’s high time the church learnt to give God His place in their places of worship!
A believer in Christ has to look for where the cloud is, that’s where God is. I witnessed a lot of pastors’ wives coming to the man of God Prophet Makandiwa asking for forgiveness on behalf of their families after their husbands had spoken evil words against the man of God.
If it is a battle we are fighting, isn’t it written in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds?”
Why can’t we give God a chance to fight our battles if there is any we are fighting? My question now is, are these not the same pastors who prayed for the fire of revival to come over the church?
Are they not the ones who said to God we want you to speak, we need to hear your voice?
If God speaks and does the manifestation of His powers through another man who is not you, has He ceased to be God? God is still speaking today, even in our nation. Among them God is speaking through in this nation is our father in the Lord, Prophet Makandiwa.
Before one reaches the potter’s hands, one has to make sure that he or she is the right material. God can use anyone anywhere, as long as one is the right material.
Through His love, sometimes He is forced to break you in His hands until you qualify to be the right staff. Don’t cry, don’t fight one another in churches, strive to become the material that a potter would use for His workmanship. At time will come when the potter is pleased with the clay in His hands that He will surely mould, a pleasant, excellent product that will stand any heat wherever it is used.
Praise the Lord!  A vessel of honour, a tourist attraction, good enough to behold shall a man become out of the potter’s hands as a finished product!  Zimbabwe, you are in the hands of the potter, God is making good out of you. Prophet Makandiwa is reminding every contemporary Christian everywhere to pray for the continual peace and prosperity of our dear great nation. Become a potter’s vessel, lovely to behold in Jesus Mighty name.
