Inaugural Grand Cultural competition calls for entries

TALENTED individuals and groups who are all about upholding cultural elements that societies are aligned to are being invited to take part in the inaugural Grand Cultural competition.

From arts, poetry, dance, theatre and the creative sector at large, anyone aged between eight and 35 years can be part of the event that is being held under the theme “Celebrating talent within our diverse cultures.”

Run under Sigiya Ngamasiko Ethu, the competition seeks to empower artistes with the cultural touch with a financial mechanism that will sustain their zeal in arts.

Said Sigiya Ngamasiko Ethu founder Babakazi Sheila Sibanda: “The event is about creating a base for a positive change in cultural oriented arts practitioners.

“To participate, one can submit a 20 to 30 second video for a single category of poetry, music and dance, drama, community change initiatives and cultural sculpture and paintings to +447447949371 and +263776530475. Deadline for submission is December 5,” said Sibanda. – @mthabisi_mthire
