The Zimbabwe Real Estate Expo will now host its inaugural event in December this year as the industry wants to play its part in ensuring the attainment of the country’s Vision 2030.
The event, which had initially been slated for September 12 to 14 at the Borrowdale Race Course, will now take place from December 12 to 14, 2024, at Rainbow Towers Hotel and is expected to bring together players in the real estate industry.
It will offer a unique platform for players, investors and customers to connect and drive growth.
A line-up of international speakers will be soon announced and these will tackle various topics and provide valuable insights.
The Zimbabwe Real Estate Expo’s chief executive, Mrs Nonhlanhla Tutani said the event will feature exhibitions from leading real estate companies to showcase the latest developments and innovations in the sector.
“As Zimbabwe experiences a burgeoning real estate boom, characterised by state-of-the-art properties and innovative cluster developments, the expo aims to bridge the gap between developers and potential buyers,” she said.
“The main focus of the Zimbabwe Real Estate Expo is to create a seamless connection between developers wanting to sell and buyers and investors looking to make valuable purchases thus aligning the real estate and construction industry to the Vision 2030 to transform Zimbabwe into an upper middle-income economy, the industry has to be ready.”
The organisers are also targeting the diaspora market and will be inviting Zimbabweans living abroad to engage directly with real estate companies.
“We want to invite our diaspora community to tour and buy into the exciting developments happening back home, and we are in discussions with some international airlines for flight discounts to those who register to attend the expo in December,” Ms Tutani said.
Ms Tutani said the expo will feature 10 tour buses that will take buyers and investors directly to various developments by different developers, including clusters, gated communities, and apartments etc.
