Chitungwiza man found dead near a church cemetery

The body of a man believed to have been murdered was found near a church cemetery in St Mary’s on Tuesday with a deep cut on the head.
The body has since been taken to a hospital mortuary as investigations continue. Police are appealing for information that might assist them to identify the body.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “A yet-to-be-identified man was found dead with a cut on the head at an open space, near a church cemetery, St Mary’s, Chitungwiza on August 20, 2024.

“The victim was wearing a brown t-shirt, blue jean trousers, a brown leather belt and blue socks.”

Meanwhile, police in Kadoma are appealing for information that may assist in investigating a case of murder in which Egnes Mandenge (53) was found dead with multiple wounds on the head and hands at a bushy area near a primary school in Ingezi on August 19, 2024.
