DELEGATES have started gathering for the inaugural Zimbabwe-Zambia (Zim-Zam) Energy Projects Summit that effectively starts in Victoria Falls this morning.
There are more than 300 local and foreign delegates drawn from a cross section of the energy sector, financial institutions, regulators and Government departments who are attending the meeting which is set to be opened by Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga later in the day.

Running under the theme “Powering Zimbabwe and Zambia’s Sustainable Energy Future: Unlocking Opportunities in Renewables, Grid Modernisation and Energy Access”, the three-day conference seeks to take stork of challenges and opportunities in the energy sector, as well provide an opportunity for both countries to unlock value and potential through co-operation with partners and financiers.

The gathering comes at a time when both nations are strategically prioritising renewable energy, such as solar and wind, as alternative energy sources that can offer resilience against climate-related disruption.
