Blessing Chafesuka
From The Town Clerk’s Desk

HELLO there, hope I find you well!
Our focus this week is on the City of Mutare Paralympic Sports Festival, which our city will host on December 2. As the curtain comes down on the Year 2025, we close the year in style. Still fresh from successfully hosting the 7th Edition of Inter-cities Sports Festival in October, City of Mutare is gearing up to host an unforgettable sports extravaganza, and it is all about inclusion.
People with disabilities from all walks of life are set to converge in the city for a thrilling competition featuring wheelchair racing, athletics, netball, tug rugby, and soccer.
This event is a testament to City of Mutare’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
The games will run under the theme: “Community building through sports for persons with disability”.
Members of the public, corporates and teams are encouraged to register and take part in these games.
Various venues across the city will host different sporting disciplines. The venues include Sakubva Stadium, Sakubva Beithall, Chisamba Grounds, and Chinyausunzi Grounds.
The sporting disciplines on offer include soccer, netball, tug rugby, athletics, and wheelchair race.
Let me also take this opportunity to invite corporates and individuals to partner with us through cash and kind sponsorships.
Exhibition space is available for your brand to showcase its products and services to a diverse audience. This is a unique chance to exhibit and publicize your business during the festival, reaching a large and engaged crowd.
For more information on registration, partnership opportunities and exhibition space bookings, please contact our Sports Officer, Mr Norman Nyaude on 0772932822.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to increase your brand’s visibility and reach in the community.
As the curtain comes down on the Year 2025, I want to assure you that my office is open for engagement with residents and stakeholders. Our goal is to work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for our residents and make Mutare a better place to live, work, and visit.
I encourage residents and stakeholders to engage with my office, share their ideas, and provide feedback on how we can improve our services and achieve our Smart City vision.
Share comments and feedback via our WhatsApp platform +263775792461.

Join us every Wednesday on our weekly current affairs radio programme: “Our City Wednesdays” on Diamond FM Radio from 1915hrs to 2000hrs.

Together, we will make our City great.
