“The meeting went on well and we adopted the blueprint that will now be presented to the conference to be held in Gweru from December 4-9 for adoption under the theme Indigenise, Empower, Develop and Create Jobs. The blueprint is based on the indigenisation and empowerment programmes that we adopted as a party but we also resolved that we should now move to the next step to ensure that we adopted new innovations and technologies as part of ways to ensure the success of the programme.

“The committee noted that while people have been empowered through such programmes such as land reform and share ownership schemes, it was also important that we move beyond that by capacitating them so that we increase productivity,” he said.
