Speaking at the handover ceremony in Belvedere, Cde Abraham Samushonga said the donations were a tribute to the forthcoming Heroes Day celebrations.
“We felt that it was important to give and show love at such a time when we cherish the work done by our fallen heroes of liberating our country,” he said.
Cde Samushonga thanked the Indian Community for the donations and work they were doing in the country.
“We are thankful to the Indian community for the goods that we have received.
“They have been offering help to the nation since the liberation struggle,” he said.
