Indian Embassy trains Chitungwiza youths on stress management skills

Youths from Chitungwiza on Sunday went through practical wellness sessions on stress management and improved focused at an event leading up to the12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) organised by the Embassy of India.

The wellness session held at Young Africa, Chitungwiza, also focused on introducing the basics of yoga, highlighting its benefits for both physical health and mental clarity.

India’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Bramha Kumar said by teaching young participants simple breathing techniques and postures, it helped the youth with practical skills for managing stress and improving focus.

“Over the past twelve years, IDY has grown into a global movement, highlighting Yoga as a universal gift to humanity that transcends borders. Building on the success of the Chitungwiza event, the Embassy is pleased to announce a nationwide tour of Yoga and wellness workshops.

“In the coming months, similar sessions will be organised across various cities to ensure that the benefits of this ancient practice reach every corner of Zimbabwe,” Ambassador Kumar said.

Zimbabwe and India remain committed to fostering strong cultural ties and promoting health-conscious lifestyles among their people.
