FORMER Warriors coach Baltemar Brito is one of the favourites to take over as coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The departure of Rigobert Song, after the debacle in Cote d’Ivoire, is almost done.
Brito is likely to have Cameroonian Albert Meyong Zé as his deputy.
Aged 72, Brito was a defender during his playing days.
He began his coaching career in 1988 at Varzim, managed Clube Atlético de Macedo de Cavaleiros, before becoming José Mourinho’s assistant at Uniao de Leiria, Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Last year he coached Highlanders and the Warriors and his contract with the Zimbabwe national team was not renewed in December. — SportsTeam.
