Indomitable Lions win thriller

Cameroon won a remarkable five-goal thriller against Gambia to reach the Africa Cup of Nations knock-out stage.

The hard-fought victory ensured Cameroon’s place in the round of 16 as Group C runners-up with four points.

Cameroon’s Karl Toko-Ekambi opened the scoring in the 56th minute, but Gambia responded with two consecutive goals, thanks to Ablie Jallowand and Ebrima Colley.

However, with just two minutes remaining, Gambia defender Gomez James inadvertently scored an own goal to level the score. — Wires.
