MINISTER of Industry and Commerce Nqobizitha Ndlovu on Monday rekindled with his roots as he donated furniture to his former school, Ntunungwe Primary School in Bulilima District, Matabeleland South Province.

The timeous donation of 80 chairs and 80 desks came on the background of a shortage that had seen some pupils having to pursue their studies while sitting on the floor.

Speaking on the sidelines of the donations on Monday, Minister Ndlovu said the gesture is to appreciate an institution which moulded him to reach where he is, being one of the senior Government officials in the country.

“I decided to do the donation because that’s the school where I did my grade one. It’s my village school and it touched me to see those coming after me learning under those conditions.

“The donation consisted of 80 chairs and 80 desks for the ECD classes. Currently there are 95 ecd students and they use one classroom, majority of them sit on the floor,” said Minister Ndlovu.
