Ingratitude affects your success

Life Issues with FGK

WE have highlighted in the past weeks that people who show gratitude live a positive and healthy lifestyle.

There is absolutely no reason for you not to show appreciation to the next person.

There are a lot of consequences associated with being ungrateful, especially to the Creator.

For instance, the moment one becomes unthankful, it may become impossible to see divine interventions in your life.

Giving praise takes the veil off our eyes in the process enabling us to see all the hidden opportunities, at times presented as problems or challenges.

When you are not grateful you focus on the actions of people instead of the processes of God. You will begin to long more for pleasant circumstances than being satisfied with God alone.

In other words, I am saying when you constantly complain, you are essentially saying that God is not satisfying you in any way.

This is unlike David, who said that the Lord was His portion, cup and inheritance (Psalm 16).

The absence of thankfulness to God can create a place for the devil to operate in your life through lust, greed and pride.

This can affect your life in so many ways.

You begin not to value key people that have been placed into your life.

Do you know that God cannot trust us with more blessings if we are not thankful? When you appreciate, you tend to get more. The rule is that simple!

Why should some keep doing good for you when you are ungrateful?

The Bible reminds us that if we do not continue ordering our minds to think on the good things of God, we will not enjoy the peace of God in these troubled times (Philippians 4:8-9).

This can lead to discouragement and severe depression.

Why?

When you are ungrateful, you are not concentrating on the good aspects of your life and this leaves you resentful and even angry.

You are busy scanning for what is missing, making choices based on what is lacking rather than what you have.

Also, note that humility is key to thankfulness.

Humble people are grounded in the truth that they need others and that we are not self-sufficient.

Seeing with grateful eyes requires that we see the web of interconnection in which we alternate between being givers and receivers.

Ingratitude affects your success.

It disrupts your relationships including marriage. You fail to joy even with your career. Thus, it is better to always be grateful.
