Injury rules out Dominic Chungwa

Eddie Chikamhi Sports Reporter
JUST as CAPS United coach Taurayi Mangwiro welcomed the clearance of their Malawian import Ishmael Thindwa for tomorrow’s Premiership match against Triangle, chief striker Dominic Chungwa went down with a groin injury.Makepekepe are set to host Triangle at the National Sports Stadium tomorrow as they look to maximise on home advantage to boost their campaign in this year’s championship.

Yesterday they took their preparations to the giant stadium as their registered home ground, Gwanzura, will not be available since it will be used for the Workers Day celebrations tomorrow.

The coach said chances are high that the striker may not make it but insisted CAPS United are still expecting a positive outing with or without him.

“It’s a cause for concern because he has been the main man. He has been the one banging in the goals for us and like I said we have that boost of Thindwa coming into the fold and the rest of the guys are raring to go,” said Mangwiro.

Malawian striker Thindwa is set to make his debut as he finally got his international clearance after missing the opening four games of the season.
