After delays owing to rains that pounded the country over the last few months, producers of the $40 000 outdoor reality show Inside Out: The Ultimate Challenge are now trying to map a new way forward.
The countryas Meteorological Department announced the official end of the rainy season this week and with that in mind the showas producers are looking to spring into action.
In January, producers of the show announced that they shelved production up until the worst of the rains had passed, with the end of March tentatively slatedA as the period when production could begin.
a?As of now we havenat made any decision on when production will begin. We had been waiting for the rainy season to pass as that is what had held up production on the series,a? said the showas producer, Sanpoulus Maplanka of Sanchi Productions.
a?We are going to come up with a final decision on what to do next. By Tuesday next week we should have a definite date of when production on the series is going to commence,a? he said.
The 26-cast outdoor reality game show, a rarity on Zimbabwean TV, embraces aspects of both Big Brother and Survivor as participants would be living in outdoor settings, placed in groups and also evicted based on votes from viewers.
The 90-day-long series will be aired everyday for the duration of the show with two winners set to walk away with a total of $40 000 in prizes.
The reality show will see participants touring the countryas premier tourist attractions where they would stay for a week at each place as they complete various challenges after which viewers would vote two participants out. .
