Insimbi ZeZhwane are billed to perform at the grand opening of a mall in Tsholotsho next month.
The mall, Mathetshaneni owned by businessman Promise Letha, features a supermarket, Shisa Nyama, and a hardware shop. It will be launched on August 10.
One of the event organisers, DJ Mapressa, will join Soxy as the MC for the day.
Mapressa shared his excitement about the event: “Many activities are lined up for both young and old. One of the highlights will be the ‘ukudengezela’ competition for older women, where the winner will receive 50kg of mealie meal.
“For the youth, we have a bicycle challenge where the winner will take home a brand-new bicycle. This is a motivating initiative for the youth and the community, as it is the first of its kind in the province. While similar challenges have been seen on TV, bicycles are a vital mode of transport in rural areas,” he said.
The event will be free for all.
