TEACHERS from Insiza North have expressed appreciation to their legislator, Cde Delani Moyo, for facilitating their attendance at the 2026 Independence Day main celebrations held at Maphisa Stadium.

The teachers said the support, which included fuel and refreshments, ensured safe travel, comfort and full participation in the national event.

They said the gesture enabled educators from various schools to join thousands of Zimbabweans in commemorating Independence Day, an occasion they described as key in promoting patriotism and national unity.

Teachers who attended the celebrations were drawn from Debshan Primary School, Nhlanhla Primary School, Rusibe Primary School, Shangani Secondary School, Shangani Mine Primary School, Siyazama Primary School, Lochard Primary School and Fortrixon Secondary School.

Insiza District vice coordinator for Teachers for Economic Development (Teachers4ED), Mr Tarisai Tafirenyika, said the support reflected servant leadership.

“Honourable MP Cde Delani Moyo has once again demonstrated servant leadership through tangible action. We appreciate his recognition of teachers and his commitment to uplifting the morale of those who play a critical role in shaping the nation’s future,” he said.

He added that the gesture aligns with national development goals.

“We remain inspired by his dedication as we collectively work towards Vision 2030,” he said.
