INTEREST in the Kadoma 2023 July Festival is soaring with organisers, who are also lining up South African artists, saying demand for the advance tickets has exceeded expectation.
Headlined by South African Afro pop outfit Blaq Diamond, the event will also parade the likes of Nutty O, Ammara Brown and the in-demand Uncle Epaton.
Fans will have to fork out US$5 for the ordinary tickets and for US$15 VIP.
Show coordinator, Kudzai “Dee Nosh” Matondo, said Kadoma deserves to be at the heart of the domestic showbiz scene.
“I am just an events planner and coordinator who is determined to market Kadoma as the home of choice when it comes to hospitality.
“I have decided to do something for the young people and it comes in the form of the Kadoma July Fest.
“We want people from this area to come and enjoy themselves.
“We have proved we can host big events before and we urge them to come and enjoy it with us.”
Blaq Diamond is not new to Zimbabwe having performed in Gweru, Harare and Bulawayo in the past.
“This time we are taking them to Kadoma to exchange notes with local youthful acts who are performing wonders out there.”
Besides the musical performances, the festival is set to promote Kadoma, the City of Gold, as a safe haven for holiday makers.
In October, the attention shifts to the Kadoma Music Festival.
