Interfin, subsidiary in share swap deal

swap deal.
Interfin FS currently holds 40 percent in the commercial banking arm.
Insiders said last week that other shareholders in Interfin Banking Corporation would exchange their holding in the bank but the share value could not be ascertained.
“The transaction will result in Interfin Financial Services controlling 100 percent of Interfin Banking Corporation through a swap of shares,” said a source familiar with the transaction.
“This will then result in all Interfin Banking Corporation shares getting listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.”
Interfin FS took a controlling stake in CFX after the shareholders undersubscribed the group’s US$10 million rights offer
Interfin later took over CFX liabilities and transferred the assets to Interfin Banking Corporation, resulting in the group reverse listing on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange as Interfin Financial Services.
Interfin Banking Corporation has successfully transformed its operations from a merchant bank to a commercial bank. It operates 25 branches and has indicated it would open an additional 12 branches this year.
