Former Minister of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation, Kirsty Coventry, who now serves as the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), was among the dignitaries at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport to bid farewell to Miss World Zimbabwe, Courtney Jongwe.

Jongwe jetted off to Telangana, India, on Monday afternoon, where she will represent Zimbabwe at the 72nd Miss World pageant. She is expected to join 119 other contestants from around the globe for the competition’s boot camp, which precedes the grand finale set for May 31.

Her departure marked a proud moment for the nation, as she carries the Zimbabwean flag high on one of the world’s biggest beauty and humanitarian stages.

As the countdown to the Miss World finale begins, all eyes will be on Jongwe as she showcases the beauty, culture, and potential of Zimbabwe to the world.
