the show.
Interim Zimbabwe National Bodybuilding and Fitness Association president Otis Goredema said they bookings for the venue have already been completed.
“We are definitely going to host the Mr and Ms Iron Man show and this time we will be in Kadoma. This is part of our efforts to decentralise the staging of major shows instead of focusing on Harare or Bulawayo.
“Reviving the Iron Man is one way of bringing back the glory days of the sport and so for now we are not emphasising much about the prize money but the priceless floating trophy where the winners will have their name engraved among the great athletes like George Takundwa, Givemore Marume, Innocent Choga and others,” said Goredema.
Goredema said pre-judging will be done at The Odyssey in the morning while the competition will be at the same joint in the evening.
“So far we have received support from Odyssey, Coloursell Furnitures and Kadoma Ranch motel.
“This is the first step that we are taking to spread competitions around Zimbabwe in our bid to revive the bodybuilding culture in all corners of the country. Bodybuilding has seen a steady recovery in the past few years but still its only Harare which has been hosting these shows.”
