Is it Satanism or an evil spell?

in accidents, kidnapping and killing of children, manslaughter, and women raping men (not that men should even rape women) are some of the cases linked to Satanism.
Believe it or not, such cases are becoming worse than a tsunami.

Neshaya Secondary School is one of the big learning centres in remote Hwange, Matabeleland North Province.

It is mid-morning and the teachers and pupils are struggling to ward off the lethargy of break time, as is always the case.

As they go into gear for the pre-lunch lessons, a bizarre wave of hysteria hits girls, class by class. Some faint, some wail, some turn the tables down, much to the surprise of the male pupils and teachers. Some go into a trance and speak in inaudible tongues.

For a moment, panic, shock and confusion grip the school. The headmaster sends for parents to pick up their children.

The incident comes hardly a year after the clinic, situated a spitting distance from the school, had two nurses fleeing after facing similar problems.

Health authorities had to close the clinic only to reopen four months later, when traditional leaders had held a cleansing
ceremony. But the nurses refused to come back.

Now, the school is in trouble, the girls have made claims of seeing evil things, including a senior member of staff holding a bottle full of blood. True or false, the school is definitely in turmoil. The community is baffled. Education officials are equally bamboozled. In the absence of a convincing explanation, the blame is squarely put on Satanism.

The situation is worsened when parents claim that more than two weeks into the incident, all the affected girls still menstruated, continuously!
A lot of mishaps are befalling innocent children. They have become easy targets and more vulnerable to the societies we are living in. Some of the mishaps are natural and some are said to be human-induced.

As fear continues to grip the Hwange society following the recent bizarre occurrences at Neshaya Secondary School, a lot has been said linking the strange happenings to Satanism.

The community secondary school which was previously forced to close after pupils boycotted lessons is now a centre of attention as traditional leaders, village elders and spiritualists are trying to find out what is really transpiring.

Mrs Thembelihle Ndlovu, who has a daughter at the school, said the strange happenings were disturbing the community and school.

“Our girls are insecure, they are saying they have seen visions of a senior staffer holding a bottle of blood and calling their names wanting more blood and this is quite disturbing,” she said.

She also said some of the victims who mysteriously collapsed are having continuous menstruation.
Although the School Development Association engaged villagers and traditional leaders to attend to the issue, the situation of the school leaves one with a lot of questions than answers. Some villagers are still clinging on to the idea that staff members at the school are hiding something because they refuse to act or say anything concerning the mishap.

Acting Chief Hwange Mr Raphael Mpesu Nyoni said the situation at the school is truly disturbing and that there is need for parents to take cautious decisions towards the school.

“Parents should not withdraw their children or force the school to close before knowing what is really taking place,” said the chief.

The chief said previously the school was temporarily forced to close as villagers threatened the school staff of being Satanists.

“Yes, Satanism is there but let us not jump to conclusions,” he said.
Chief Hwange said he is one of the traditional leaders who are organising a cleansing ceremony for the school to exorcise the “Satanism spell”. He also discouraged villagers from insulting the school head over the accusations.

“I will continue to discard the accusations because the mishaps at the school might be warning signs from our spirit mediums.”

Chief Hwange said the community once had a similar incident at Simangani Clinic where nurses would hear some strange voices and hallucinate. This made the nurses to flee. Traditional leaders had to cleanse the clinic and now it is functioning normally.

However, one of the villagers, Madzibaba Tauzani, a member of the Apostolic Faith, sect said Satanism was beecoming a national problem.

“These days people are becoming too greedy that they would want to associate themselves with Satanism to get quick riches,” he said.

It is advisable to always search for the hand of God for protection.
Meanwhile, a lot of similar cases are happening in Zimbabwe. People are killed and some mysteriously disappearing. On how all these mishaps are going to end only God knows.
Some say satanism is all in the mind yet some claim to have experienced it.

At Neshaya Secondary, the school – which falls under Chief Hwange  and has both day scholars and boarding facilities – a cloud of uncertainty still hangs.
