TOP marathon runner Isaac Mpofu will be out to chase a top 10 finish at this year’s Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in South Africa.

Mpofu is one of the locals expected to be on the starting line for the race this Sunday.

With the World Championships scheduled for next year in September, Mpofu said his focus will be on making the top 10 and not necessarily the time factor.

“I tried to prepare well. I will try to run my best.

“I don’t have many targets this time around. I will just run, focusing on finishing well and making the top 10.

“I think it will be good if I finish in the top 10,” said Mpofu.
