This is a serious discussion, because some of the terrible situations that we see in society is caused by self-centred individuals.
These are people who always think that everything is or has to be about them.
They are individuals who see themselves as the centre of the universe, want everything to revolve around them.
Some religious leaders have poisoned the image of religion, because they have assumed a ‘god-like status’.
Some companies falter because the bosses feel and act like they are the business; above the functional systems that have been put in place.
Families have split over failure to accommodate each other as equals.
Some marriages are ending, for the simple reason that each party sticks to their guns all the time, even when they are wrong.
Friendships can end when no one stops to think about the other person.
It is always important to remember that everyone, despite age or status, has feelings. They feel pain and get hurt.
If you always think about yourself and only want you to prevail, that’s a shame.
To those that call you family or friend, they can be more deadly than sworn enemies, if you are blind to their own needs.
Always remember to give the next person the benefit of doubt.
Putting the other person first is precious seed, upon which peace and love are built.
Apologising has nothing to do with being wrong.
Choose to give peace a chance.
Giving into demands from the other side has nothing to do with your idea being short. It could actually be best outcome.
Being humble has never hurt anyone, compared to choosing to stand and fight every time the world differs with you.
When people laugh, they cannot always be laughing at or about you.
If someone disagrees with you, it has nothing to do with your person. Focus more on the point being discussed and building your case.
Not every interaction should be taken personal.
Tolerating divergent voices should make one richer without threatening their personal space.
Accepting that you can be wrong will allow you to be open to other people’s opinions, which demonstrates wisdom.
If you cannot be corrected, then you have serious issues.
Don’t be a threat to yourself and the world around you.
If you find it difficult or impossible to apologise, then you are digging your own deep grave, and no one will be able to save you.
Embrace love and be accommodative.
There is a lot of good that can come out of society without your contribution.
Thinking that if you do not make it no one will bring the best solution is sinful.
There is nothing wrong with complementing other people’s efforts.
There is no need to be so weak, that you take offence about what is shared.
Those that you delegate will forever hold you in high regard, as opposed to wanting to be everywhere to do everything yourself.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what should stand out is love for the good of humanity.
In everything that you do make sure you do it for love for the next person, bearing in mind that love is sweeter when reciprocated.
