Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping to Rome, a government official said.
“Fourteen commercial agreements for a total of US$3,2 billion have been signed,” the official said, following a meeting between Xi and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in a picturesque villa near central Rome.
One of the biggest deals was between Telecom Italia and China’s Huawei – although the precise amount was not announced.
The two agreed to reinforce their co-operation “in fixed-line telephony and innovative applications”. – AFP.
