It’s game on for kickboxers

Beitbridge.
The main bout will see Zimbabwe’s former national champion Bernard Roben taking on Jarkko Jussila of Finland in the middleweight category. There will be five supporting bouts for kickboxers from Harare and Beitbridge.

Roben, who will be making his debut appearance in an international fight, said he was raring to go.
“Today (yesterday) I am relaxed and waiting for the match. I think I have trained well and I am prepared for the match. I respect the guy but I have worked so hard and I am looking forward to win,” said Roben.

Zimbabwe Kickboxing Association president, Tony Kamangira, said they were looking forward to tough competition.
“Jussila arrived on Thursday night. We are expecting a good competition. We want our fighters to get international exposure. We want them to have confidence in us that we can also organise and host international events,” said Kamangira.

Some of the fighters that will compete include Nicholas Kumirira, Stanford Mupandira and Ronald Deketeke.
