‘ITS HORRIBLE’

CHELSEA duo Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have deleted their Twitter accounts after receiving abuse in the wake of their side’s defeat to Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were thrashed 4-1 by the Premier League leaders at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Following the game, Chelsea players received disgusting abuse from accounts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Now both Caicedo and Fernandez have removed their accounts from the app.

Chelsea chose not to comment when approached by SunSport.

Reacting to the pair, who each cost the club more than £100million, deactivating their profiles, one Blues fan replied: “Probably don’t want to keep seeing their own fans hate, don’t blame them.”

Another added: “So sad. Get so much abuse for nothing.”

While a third said: “It’s horrible. Our own fanbase hating on them, it’s disgusting. People need to realise the difference between criticism and hate.

“We are lucky to have these two at the club. And people need to have a look in the mirror and see that it’s Poch’s system that isn’t getting the best out of these two.”

And a fourth added: “Can’t believe it has gotten to this level.”

They had won three league games in a row heading into the Liverpool clash, but were blown away by Jurgen Klopp’s men.
