A Harare man is in trouble for abusing his wife by openly having sexual relationships out of marriage.

James Alibha has also been accused by his wife Miriam Alibha for chasing her out of their matrimonial home.

Miriam approached the Harare civil court seeking a peace order against her husband.

Magistrate Ms Tafadzwa Miti was told of how Miriam was being chased out of the family home as James claimed that it was his father’s house.

Miriam told the court that James was in the habit of bragging about his numerous girlfriends some of whom he even phones in his wife’s presence.

James denied the allegations arguing that he had already secured a peace order against his wife.

“She is the one who has destroyed our marriage as she constantly insults my mother and does not cook for me,” he said.

“I used to get conjugal rights once a week but now it has been ages”.

However, Ms Miti granted a protection order in favour of Miriam.
