It’s new vs old boys at the ‘Burn Outs’

The Borrowdale Racecourse will on Saturday host “new boys versus old boys” car spinners at the popular “Burn Outs” scheduled to start at 11.30pm until 8pm.
The showcase will see Isaac Mayor aka Fat Cat bouncing back alongside Black Mamba, Goofa and the Botswana-based car spinner The General representing the old-timers while the new boys include Anonymous Spin Kid, Dante Rock, Russell and Maurice Mayor aka Vevelious.

Added to the fun will be Zimbabwe’s foremost stuntman Leeroy Green more popularly known as Kunnie.
Kunnie faces the enviable task of pleasing the crowd with his high risk stunts during the “burn outs” jumping in and out of the spinning car as well as standing on the bonnet while it is in motion.

Added to the fun will be non-stop music by the League of Extraordinary DJs who include Shy Spin, Patch, Ren-X and J Dub on the turntables. Rapper and emcee Tazzy will be blazing it up on the microphone with a live performance.

The weekend’s family fun day will see children under 12 attending the show for free with lots of entertainment including jumping castles.
Those who love to braai and drink will be pleased to see BBQs and chilled drinks at the food stalls dotted around Borrowdale Racecourse.
Fans will be pleased to see the return of The General from Botswana who rocked the Borrowdale Race Course in May this year.

The General is well known for his breathtaking skills at “burn outs”. He is bringing his black BMW 325i more popularly known as the “Gusheshe” in South Africa.

Fat Cat is one of the old guys in car spinning. It has been a decade since he started out with his BMW 3 Series.
On the other hand, his son, Maurice, is one of the new boys who are coming up a in a big way so when the two take to the tarmac it will be father against son. Maurice has been showcasing his skills behind the wheels since 2008.

Another car spinner, Dante Rock, will be rocking the crowds with action behind the wheel while Black Mamba brings a lot a surprises and excitement to the crowd.

Kunnie, one of the organisers, urged to come in their numbers and be experience the art of spinning that is taking Harare by storm.
“We invite everyone to come to the show and enjoy fun in the sun as well as food and drink. These spinners will be performing new stunts and it is going to be a great show,” Kunnie said.
