J. Holiday bounces back with ‘Sign My Name’

“Graduation”.

In 2007, Def Jam and Inters-cope were dominating the hip-hop and R&B charts before Capitol Records unleashed J. Holiday.

The Washington, DC, native owned the bedroom through his clever and smooth sounds.

The album, “Bac’ of My Lac”, debuted on the Billboard charts at #5 selling 105 000 copies in the first week. It debuted #1 on the hip-hop/R&B charts in the first week.

“Round 2” was his second album, which was released in March 2009, and spawned the single “It’s Yours” After lacklustre sales and some other internal issues, J. Holiday was released from his contract at Capitol.

Holiday later signed to Island Def Jam in 2010. He blessed his fans with new music and released a new mixtape entitled M.I.A: “The Lost Pages”. On May 29, 2012, J. Holiday released “Sign My Name”, from his upcoming third studio album.

It’s 2013, and J. Holiday is no longer on the Def Jam roster!

We knew his name was J. Holiday, but we didn’t know he would take an actual holiday.
Here’s hoping for new music soon! —singersroom.
