J-Lo swaps glamour for comfort

Her glamorous, sexy image is envied worldwide. But Jennifer Lopez proved that her wardrobe can be just as unceremonious as the rest of us in her downtime as she waltzed about a Los Angeles film set in lacklustre house slippers and a plain Jane robe on Monday. The 44-year-old entertainer was taking a break from shooting her latest movie, “The Boy Next Door”, when she showed the world how she really dresses when she wants to take respite from the fancy life.

Jennifer’s around-the-house slippers were an aged and unflattering shade of grey, and they boasted a noticeably unstylish line of fluff around the edges to keep her toes warm. She certainly wasn’t trying to impress anyone with her floaty, loose-fitting robe either, with the baggy garment draping flatly and giving no hint whatsoever of her womanly shape but for her toned legs poking out the bottom.

But the “Live It Up” songstress appeared to be ready to roll, with her pretty brunette tresses elegantly blow waved and her stunning face lightly made up. The star was on a mission as she made her way across the busy movie set and production tents with her script in hand, perhaps using her down time to brush up on her lines.

J-Lo has been hard at work on her latest thriller, entitled “The Boy Next Door”, for most of November. The Rob Cohen-directed film co-stars Kristin Chenoweth and John Corbett and is produced by Blumhouse Productions, behind the horror hits “Insidious” and “Paranormal Activity”.

In the feature – which is set for a 2014 release – Jennifer Lopez plays a divorced mother who begins an ill-advised affair with an unstable teenage neighbour. After she attempts to break off the affair, she becomes the object of obsession for the young man as his fixation takes a dangerous turn.

The notion of dating below one’s own age will not be an unfamiliar one for the talented celebrity, who has been dating her 26-year-old former backup dancer Casper Smart for the last two years. – Daily Mail.

Aside from her constant musical endeavours, Lopez will next be seen in January in the Taylor Hackford-directed film “Parker”, opposite Jason Statham. – Daily Mail.
