Jacaranda Festival euphoria hits Harare

ALL the attention is shifting to Harare as the Sunshine City hosts the annual Stanbic Jacaranda Music Festival (SJMF) next month.

Now in its sixth edition, SJMF will kick off with two days of educational music business workshops featuring local and regional experts.

This year’s edition will be held at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare from October 6 to 8.

A star-studded line-up, which includes South Africa’s Sun-El Musician, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Black Motion, Judith Sephuma and Ami Faku, is set to rock the festival.

Local acts  ExQ, Tamy Moyo, Selmor Mtukudzi and American jazz saxophonist Brent Birkchead are also part of the bill.

Other artists set to perform at the festival are Daliwonga, Ndlovu Youth Choir, Murumba Pitch, Alexio Kawara and the Shades of Black, Sylent Nqo, Norman Masamba, Chiwedarr, Intotal Band, Gary Tight, Those Guys Vacho, Jason Le Roux, Gwevedzi, Mannex Motsi, Willom Tight, Mateo, Dino Mudondo, Nicholar, Ammara Brown, Vera, Vuyo Brown and Samuel Cosmic.

The line-up is a mixed bag of almost everything.

Revellers will be treated to a three-day fête of quality music.
