US-based influencer, Jackie Mgido, is flying the Zimbabwean flag high as a Hollywood celebrity make-up artist and cosmetic entrepreneur.

She said, The Oprah Winfrey Show gave her the inspiration to start her journey as a make-up artist.

In an interview with H-Metro, Jacque said:

“I was inspired to be a make-up artist after watching a makeover on Oprah show that transformed individuals to look their best.

“My journey has been fantastic.

“Life will always have setbacks, Covid-19 really set us back.

“I used to come to Zimbabwe three times a year to train my team and recharge my brand.

“Now, there is a different generation that does not know the history so I almost have to reintroduce the brand and that means spending money in marketing.”

She has worked with a number of famous actors and actresses and has moved from the film industry into the kitchen.

“I have worked with Jamie Fox, Snoop Dog, Michael Ealey, Sylvester Stallone just to name a few.

“It’s an out of body experience and I am super proud and I am also working on loads of Food Network shows.

“Right now the new celebrities are among the chefs.

“Food is ruling the media and this is because of Covid-19.

“People developed cooking skills and they love watching the Food channel.”

She is planning to bring her work back home and teach the upcoming make-up artist.

“Next goal is to bring some celebs to Zimbabwe and I will be training artists to expand their skills in make-up by introducing them to Special Effects,” she said.
