But after a career plagued by injuries, the Gunners star has vowed not to rush his comeback bid. Wilshere (23) is on course to be fit for Arsenal’s busy Christmas period after suffering a left-leg hairline fracture on the eve of the season . It was the latest in a long line of crushing blows for the England midfielder whose progress has been held up by a number of injuries. While Arsenal are on the brink of an early Champions League exit and have been dumped out of the Capital One Cup, in the league they are coping without Wilshere. They are currently second and only behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.
But, encouraged by his recovery last season when he missed almost six months before returning to play a part in Arsenal’s run in and FA Cup win, Wilshere said: “We’re still early in the season and the busiest part of the season is coming up.” — The Mirror.
