ZIM dancehall artist, Rodney “Jah Master” Mashandure, is happy with his recent single titled Vhuramai, which is trending on YouTube.
The song will be his only 2022 release and is accompanied by a video.
The video has over 200k views and is trending at number six on YouTube since it was released late last month.
“Vhuramai is a story about one mischievous character who is found in every family.
“This particular ‘Vhuramai’ is one who abused his grandmother, mother, sister and everyone in society.
“He has unnecessary fights with his friends when drunk.
“He was just someone whom everyone could not get along with.
“In this set, he is seen quarrelling with his granny and placing a bowel on her head as a sign of disrespect.”
“Vhuramai’s sister is seen chasing him in their yard holding an axe as she is also tired of Vhuramai’s mischievous deeds.
“The grandmother is the one crying out to Vhuramai asking him to be good to people,” said Jah Master in an interview.
The song was produced by Levels at Chillspot Records while the video was shot by Director Leo V.
He added he is currently working on a single titled Ruvarashe which will be coming in due course.
