Renowned musician Jah Prayzah has had to cancel his highly anticipated concerts in Washington D.C. and Dallas, originally scheduled for July 4th and 5th, due to unforeseen visa complications.

Fans had eagerly awaited the shows, with many making travel arrangements and securing tickets in hope of an unforgettable experience.

In a statement, Jah Prayzah expressed his deep disappointment: “I was ready and excited to meet you. I know many of you had already made travel plans and booked hotels, and I was just as ready to give you the show you deserve.”

His words resonated with fans, many of whom took to social media to express their understanding and support.

The visa issues arose after his band attended their appointments earlier this month.

“Due to a technical issue on our application forms, we couldn’t proceed,” he explained.

“That meant restarting the process and trying to get new appointment dates, but unfortunately, none were available in time.” Despite the U.S. Embassy Consulate’s supportive efforts, some things remained beyond control.

Jah also addressed rumours suggesting his band were denied visas, stating, “I know that some have been trying to push the narrative that visas were denied, but that is not true. Unfortunately, it changes nothing at this point.”

His transparency about the situation has earned him admiration from fans who appreciated his honesty.

Grateful for the efforts of local organisers Dj Nhunzi and Xcelerate, Jah Prayzah said:  “They gave this their all, and I’m indebted to them.” His commitment to his fans is evident as he promised to fulfill this part of the Ndini Mukudzeyi world tour in the near future.

“For those who purchased tickets, full refunds will be issued, and new concert dates are expected to be announced soon,” he said.

Fans remain hopeful, with many taking to social media to share their support with statements such as,  “We’ll wait for you, Jah! Your music means so much to us.”

While the U.S. shows have been cancelled, Jah Prayzah confirmed that his upcoming performances in Canada on July 11 in Edmonton and July 12 in Toronto are still on schedule. “Everything is in place, and we can’t wait to see you there,” he assured.
