BIRTHDAY boy Jah Prayzah has thrown his weight behind Nyasha David’s new song Chinosiya Maoko.
The song addresses mental health issues and Jah Prayzah has described it as a “masterpiece.”
The song, which was released on Tuesday, is accompanied by visuals.
It uses powerful imagery to depict how men can also be heartbroken.
Jah Prayzah has given it his powerful endorsement.
“Kangani katakazosara tichiti ‘akatombonditsvaga asi ndaingoverengera?’
“Ipapo munhu anenge asisipo.
“My brother Nyasha David, unodadisa. This is a masterpiece, it is hard to put entertainment mukudzidzisa vamwe but he nailed it on this one, mental health is real.”
Men usually suppress their emotions and struggle silently, sometimes with tragic consequences.
This often leads to devastating outcomes, including a rise in suicide cases triggered by failed relationships and economic challenges.
Nyasha David shot to fame in 2015 when he clinched the second runner-up accolade in the Dreamstar Zimbabwe talent scouting programme.
From there on, it has been hit after hit and some of his best songs include Toasting (2016), Tiki Taka (2017), Isai Mawoko (2017), Hamumbomugona (2017) and Newe (Follow Me) (2018), which propelled him to international stardom.
