TANZANIAN superstar Diamond Platnumz says Jah Prayzah is his brother and they will keep producing hit songs.
The two superstars performed at the third edition of the Kadoma Music Festival, which will be remembered as one of the most memorable events on this year’s music calendar.
The All-Star show also featured the likes of Alick Macheso and Winky D —bringing the top three local musical acts under one roof.
It is clearly the best show which has been held this year.
Organisers brought together dancehall, sungura, hip hop and chimurenga music fans under one roof and they showed up in their thousands.
Diamond Platnumz revealed that he will release another song, which will feature Jah Prayzah.
This will be their fourth collaborative effort and the two superstars are known for creating magic whenever their voices are blended into a song.
Diamond Platnumz made the announcement on stage after he was joined by Jah Prayzah to perform ‘Watora Mari’ and ‘Poporipo’.
The two musicians have also collaborated on a song titled — ‘Amanda’.
“Zimbabwe, I love this brother of mine so much, he is my brother,” said Diamond Platnumz.
“I can promise you that we got another track coming.”
The Komasava hit-maker performed songs including Waah, Marry You, African Beauty, Jeje and Nana.
He blended his live band with upbeat choreographed dancing skills.
Rapper King 98 also joined him on stage.
The two collaborated on a song titled ‘Kachili’.
Jah Prayzah delivered a fine performance.
The lanky musician also stole the show with his outfits which some feel he is using to make a fashion statement.
He passed the button to Winky D who produced a vintage act, delivering hit after hit, mixing his track list with some of his old and latest songs, including performing ‘MuGarden’ alongside Gemma Griffiths. Fans were also treated to some sungura by another superstar, Alick Macheso, who was last on stage and brought the curtains down on the show.
It was also a lucky day for guitarist Mike “Maikoro” Adilino who received cash gifts from various fans who were blown away by his skills.
Maikoro’s guitar playing skills have been trending.
Siantfloew, Gemma Griffiths and Kurai Makore also performed at the event.
Organisers said this was a peaceful event and drew the biggest crowd at the Kadoma Music Festival.
