His earlier shows in Leicester and Dunstable did not live up to billing after both shows were delayed as the promoter battled to get a proper sound system, courting the ire of music fans who had to wait for hours before the gig got underway.
However, the musician and his group got their act together on the last show in Manchester on Monday, where he gave a good performance in front of a sizeable crowd. Speaking from his UK base, Jah Prayzah promoter Steady Munyanyi apologised to his fans in Leicester and Dunstable for the late performance, saying they had problems with the sound system on both occasions.
“Technical hitches caused delays in both shows. In Leicester, we had hired an engineer who faced technical challenges in operating the sound system and by the time we got another sound system, the fans were getting agitated.
When we went for our second gig, again we only got the PA system late, delaying the kick off time of the show. However in both instances, Jah Prayzah gave a good account of himself, pacifying some of the fans, who had been waiting for the show to start.
According to Munyanyi, Jah Prayzah’s best show was in Manchester, where the group kicked off the show an hour earlier than schedule and serenaded fans until the early hours of Tuesday.
The musician was expected to arrive in Zimbabwe last night from his United Kingdom tour.
