Jah Prayzah’s 3G band strikes gold again! . . . whole team, band cleaners and all rewarded with cars by Chivayo

Award-winning contemporary musician Jah Prayzah continues to reap the fruits of his musical brilliance, and he is not rising alone. Members of his 3G Band and support staff are now reaping significant rewards thanks to the impact of his art and the generosity of businessman and music patron Wicknell Chivayo.

In a big show of appreciation that has highlighted the power of teamwork and Jah Prayzah’s wide-reaching musical talent, Chivayo has pledged to gift each of the remaining band and staff members a Toyota Aqua vehicle. This follows a similar gesture last year when Chivayo rewarded four female backing vocalists in Jah Prayzah’s band after a show-stopping performance at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).

Taking to Facebook on Thursday, Chivayo shared a video of himself on a road trip with his family, vibing to “Kuno”, a track from Jah Prayzah’s recent album Ndini Mukudzeyi. In his post, Chivayo was full of praise for the musician’s lyrical depth.
“This song is really amazing . . . I can’t figure out what the guy who sang this song was thinking. Where exactly does he get these lyrics from?”

Clearly moved by the artistry, Chivayo went on to announce another vehicle giveaway, this time extending the gesture to include all the band members, office staff, and even ancillary personnel such as the gardener, cleaner, and security guard, provided they have valid driver’s licenses.
“I know that all my band members are 26 in total, so the other 16, tell them that I, Mudavanhu, may not have money, but I do have love for them. Your deadline is August, during Heroes Holidays. All of you will be going, two every week until everyone is sorted,” he posted.

Even Jah Prayzah’s longtime manager, Keen Mushapaidze, was not left out.
“That one who acts all important, saying ‘blah blah I’m the manager this and that’, he’ll be given a small C-Class or any other car worth US$25,000, so that he doesn’t end up looking like a joke compared to the rest and loses his confidence or self-worth.”

Chivayo stressed the importance of inclusivity and recognition of the broader team behind the music.
“No one should be left out… Please take care of this gift,” he added.

This latest development will likely energise the entire Jah Prayzah camp, particularly those who felt overlooked during last year’s round of Aqua giveaways. It is also a testimony to Jah Prayzah’s ability to not only craft music that moves the nation but also build a brand strong enough to attract significant patronage and change lives.

The “Chiremerera” hitmaker has, in recent months, been on a high. His latest album, Ndini Mukudzeyi, has received wide acclaim, culminating in yet another jaw-dropping gift from Chivayo: a 2025 Range Rover and US$150 000 in cash. This follows last year’s reward of a top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz S500 worth US$180 000.

In an industry where rewards are often limited to applause and fleeting fame, Jah Prayzah is setting a new benchmark — showing that with talent, vision, and the right support, music can be a vehicle not just for entertainment, but for empowerment.
