THE movie in which Jah Prayzah features as one of the actors is set to be released in September.
The movie is titled Alkebulan.
It features talent from seven African countries — South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, and Uganda.
The superstar musician’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze, said the movie is expected to hit the cinemas in September.
“He has done a few cameo appearances in the past but, for us, it’s all about quality control.
“How does the movie fit into our vision?
“Production has to be top-notch as that’s what the JP brand stands for.
“So, it’s very rare you come across a combination of good scripts and top-notch productions.
“Jah Prayzah is a brand, a brand which specialises in numerous products. Thinking of him in that way does not limit what he can do as an artist.
“His schedule is usually really tight but he committed himself to bringing smiles on people’s faces and that’s how we manage to ensure everything fits in.
“Endorsements are also more about what he believes in. We only work with companies that align with Jah’s vision. This makes it easy for him to push these,” he said.
Alkebulan is about reclaiming the identity, heritage and the pride of the continent.
It is about falling in love with Africa all over again and embracing the beauty and richness of the continent.
Jah Prayzah directed and produced the Mhosva series, a behind-the bars show hosted by Dual Sim, which airs on NRTV.
He was also featured on Mabla 10 drama ‘Bag reMhosva’.
