Jamie Maleta goes regional with new single

Hip-hop musician Jammie Maleta has released a single titled “Baby nah” featuring South African based female musician Shelly GK.

The track was recorded and produced in Durban at Captain Sound studios by Nigerian producer Captain Blue.

The track comes along with its video that was shot in Durban and is officially released this morning.

In an interview, Jamie said is very excited about his work and is humbled by people’s reaction to the song.

“The track is definitely a bang. I was very humbled by people’s reaction to the song when I performed it for the first time on stage.

“The crowd went crazy,” said Jamie.

Jamie has already submitted the song to Trace Africa which has received a fair airplay so far.

The talented musician already has two albums and is currently working on another one called “Dare renjuzu” which will be released this year.

Jamie Maleta however dares himself to be an artist that can perform any sound.

“I am an artist. I can sing any genre. I don’t like to put myself in a bracket,” he said.

So far Jamie has shared the stage with big names like Nox, Freeman, Killer T and he has also represented Zimbabwe at the Africa Day Celebrations that were held in Durban.

He also did an international collaboration with Jamaican superstar, Kahsion which is currently being played at Jamaican radio stations.
